When I first photographed Mateja as a newborn, he had tanned skin and dark hair so you can imagine my surprise when I arrived for his family session and this little blondie showed up in his place!
As a new parent, I don’t think anything prepares you for the significant changes that occur with your little one’s mind and body over that first twelve months. It’s a gluttony of ‘firsts’ and it’s equal parts exhilarating, tiring, frustrating and exciting. Every single time you think your getting the hang of things, they go and change the rules and you’re back to square one!
As a photographer, it’s so wondrous to me, the immense changes that take place between the newborn session and the first proper family session, when I haven’t seen any of the in-between bits. I had a ball catching up with these guys and rediscovering Mateja’s little personality!
